Monkeys  – I am in love with those animals therefore when i see netsuke that depicting Monkeys i can’t be more happy. I am biased from the first place. But this netsuke that i got form IvoryAndArt.com MASTER Pieces Netsukes collection is really an amazing netsuke. The Master Carver depicted  Seven monkeys playing with a rope on huge pumpkin.

Take a good look an observe each detail & you will understand why i am so generous with this netsuke. First each netsuke is carved in different position & with different expression in his face & even with his body. I can imagine that scene actuality happening in rel in front of my eyes.

    This amazing Mammoth Ivory Netsuke of Japanese woman & a squid – Is a Japanese woman named AMA a japanese women diver how are trained to dive into shallow water and reef areas and retrieve shellfish and other marine life used in gourmet seafood meals. It was a hard and dangerous occupation, and the girls used no special equipment.
    This Netsuke of a Japanese Ama with a squid considered by many artist to be one of the greatest netsuke(The original one was carved on the 18th century).
